This week's graphic design / Photoshop tutorial is on how to use the rulers tool!

Photoshop's ruler tool is a nifty tool that's perfect for aligning text and shapes. I mainly use it when setting up page margins when I design a printable.

If you don't have Photoshop already, you can download it here.

How to use the ruler tool in Photoshop

To turn the rulers on and off, press CTRL and R on your keyboard.

The rulers will now appear at the top and left of your design area.

Left click on either ruler menu and drag your move towards your canvas (the transparent / white background or the design you're creating). An aqua line will appear that you can re-position by left clicking and dragging with your mouse.

To enlarge the screen of the video, click the square icon in the bottom right hand corner of the video (it will say ‘full screen’ when you hover your mouse over the icon).
